MediaCorp VizPro and Theme Production present Unforgettable Teresa Teng - A Tribute To The Superstar Concert on Saturday, 18 September 2010 at The Max Pavilion to commemorate the late superstar’s 15th death anniversary and to allow her fans to enjoy her soothing romantic ballads and folk songs once again.

Teresa Teng is known as “A Lover Forever” as she appeals to all ages and races. Blessed with wonderful vocals, Teresa has recorded 240 songs. Evergreen hits include The Moon Represents my Heart (月亮代表我的心), Do Not Pluck the Wild Flowers (路边的野花不要采), Where to find you, my Lover (路边的野花不要采), Seagull (海韵) and How can I leave you (我怎能离开你).

Sadly, this superstar passed away in Chiang Mai, Thailand, 1995. To commemorate her 15th year death anniversary, A tribute concert featuring Teresa’s golden hits (留君岁月-再现邓丽君金曲演唱会)was launched and performed in Beijing, Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia. The concerts received overwhelming response from the public. It is our honour to bring this tribute concert – Unforgettable Teresa Teng- A Tribute to the Superstar to Singapore to allow her fans in Singapore to enjoy her music once again.

This concert will feature Chinese singer, Tong Yao (桐瑶) and renowned Taiwanese singer Michelle Hsieh ((谢采妘). Tong Yao not only has a saccharin voice, she is a spitting image of Teresa. Tong Yao emerged the winner of an acting competition searching for a Teresa lookalike to be cast in Xiao Cheng’s Story (小城故事) in China, a show named after Teresa’s popular hit. She was then invited to Hong Kong to perform in Teresa Teng’s Tribute Concert and was nicknamed “Little Teresa”

Michelle Hsieh’s rendition of Teresa’s popular hits such as Zai shui Yi Fang (在水一方),I only care about you (我只在乎你), Love at first sight (一见钟情) and Seagull (海韵)greatly reminds one of Teresa’s gentleness and charm.
